QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Bernard provides Contract Responsible Person services to a number of clients and helps PLS provide specialist GDP support to clients in consulting, auditing & training.

Bernard has worked with PLS on various projects since leaving Cahill May Roberts (CMR) in 2013 where he held a number of positions such as, Operations Manager, Group Quality Control Manager from 2001 until it closed in late 2013 when CMR was taken over by the Allphar/Uniphar Group. CMR and Movianto were part of Celesio.

During his time there as well as his other roles he acted as Responsible Person and advised the Board of Directors and Senior Management team on all aspects of Good Distribution Practice. He was their representative on the Pharmaceutical Distributors Federation (PDF) and participated at various corporate quality projects within the Celesio Group in Europe. Before working in Pharmaceutical Wholesaling, Bernard worked in the Food and Dairy industry, specialising in cold chain distribution of dairy products across Europe.

Since the introduction of GDP Guidelines 2013/C 343/01 Bernard has assisted several clients in applying for Wholesale Distribution Authorisations, Brokers registrations, updating and improving Quality Management systems in order to meet the new standards required under the EU GDP Guidelines 2013 and local regulatory requirements. He also assists hard pressed RPs prepare for audits by conducting pre audits and quality risk assessments.
